VIRTUAL LEARNING INSTITUTE:

The Virtual Learning Institute is a web-based curriculum administered by the Hardin County Educational Service Center.

The Virtual Learning Institute offers courses for 6th to 12th grade students and is designed to teach the required subjects for graduation and tailored to fit all learning styles, interests, and needs of students and families.

A wide variety of academic and elective courses are available. Each course is one year long unless otherwise noted. A year consists of 36 weeks of work, with a minimum of 4 hours of study per week, in each major subject.

Through e-mail teachers are able to provide necessary guidance and coursework review while encouraging students toward self-directed and self-paced learning.

Student's participating in the Virtual Learning Institute will still be part of your home school district and will graduate with their school district's diploma.

If your student is interested in taking Virtual Learning Classes, please contact your school counselor.
