The Hardin County School Consortium Local Professional Development Committee is a consortium of the following districts: Hardin County Educational Service Center, Hardin Northern, Upper Scioto Valley and the Board of Developmental Disabilities. We have four meetings a year to help facilitate the process of renewing and maintaining the Ohio Department of Education's license requirements.

Connected Ohio Records for Educators-Credential Eligibility (CORE-CE) was created to help educators apply for their educational credentials. Using CORE-CE, educators can apply for and pay for their licenses online, and the requisite educational entities can submit their recommendations for these educators. If you are an educator, you may choose to use CORE-CE if you want to:

In 1996, Ohio's General Assembly authorized the establishment of LPDCs and mandated that such be established in every school district and chartered nonpublic school by September 1998 (ORC 3319.22). Based on LPDC review and approval, the ODE issues teaching certificates and licenses valid across the state of Ohio. Review by a LPDC does not mean that the educator is qualified to work only in that district; the certificate or license is valid in any district in Ohio.
